Educational Outreach - 2009

We seek to educate ourselves and the public about cetaceans and the challenges they face.

We network and learn about current issues and discoveries at our monthly Speaker Series meetings.

Special events provide even more opportunities for discovery and sharing some fun times.

We support ACS National's publications: The WhaleWatcher and Spyhopper.

We perform outreach at school and public events such as science fairs, the Penn Cove Water Festival, and the Vashon Strawberry Festival. The Washington State Ferries have invited us to give talks on board certain ferry runs.

Archives of the Whulj, our chapter newsletter, help preserve some of our chapter history and are nice sources for book reviews.
